HENRY (HENRI) SCHAFER
(19TH CENTURY)
Very little is known about Henry Schafer, but he was probably of French birth and was painting around the end of the 19th century. He was a painter of town scenes.
Schafer painted only town scenes and buildings in the area of northern France and Belgium, in a style resembling that of Alfred Montague.
He is recorded as living and working in Islington for part of his life.
Henry Schafer died sometime in the 1900s. |
