HEINRICH HERMANNS
German (1862-1942)

Heinrich Hermanns was born in Düsseldorf, Germany on May 19, 1862. He was an artist of landscapes and used both oils and watercolors.

Hermanns started to exhibit in 1886 at the important art venues in Dresden, Munich, Berlin and Düsseldorf, Germany and continued to do so for his entire career.

He was given an Honorary Diploma by the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts in 1890. He died in 1942 in Düsseldorf.

While there is limited information on Heinrich Hermanns, today, when his paintings do come up in the art world, they are keenly sought after, especially his paintings of flower markets and river scenes.

Today, Hermanns’ works can be found in private and public collections including the Düsseldorf Museum of Fine Arts.
