ERNEST T. ROSEN
American (1877-1926)
Ernest T. Rosen was born in the USA in 1877. He was a painter of figures and portraits. He worked with both oils and gouaches.
He first studied with the famous master teacher and artist, William Merritt Chase in New York City and then moved to France.
In Paris, Rosen studied at the Academie Julian from 1893 through 1895.
He began to exhibit at the Salons Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1897 and again, in 1899.
In the United States, Rosen exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia in 1905 and 1907 and at the Society of Independent Artists in 1917 and 1919.
