Patrice Marchal

Patrice Marchal was born in the Ivory Coast, Africa of French parents in 1963 and ultimately moved to the Provence region of France. Patrice grew up in the arid climate of the desert, merging with the dark reds of Morocco; a wonderful beginning of his childhood.

As he grew up, he developed a passion for all nature, a wonder and admiration of beautiful flowers, especially wild flowers contrasted against the panorama of the vast blue skies. With this gift of his childhood, Marchal, the young artist, transported himself to France and began to compare the different colors and delicious contrasts of Provence, France.Self taught and inspired by the French impressionists, Patrice Marchal captures the special light of Provence, which heightens the golden colors of the grasses and releases the intense colors of the flowers which he paints. His passion with the impressionistic métier was enthusiastically authentic, especially as compared to the works of Alfred Sisley. This young artist has been extremely successful, worldwide with sold out exhibitions in France, Switzerland, Japan and the USA. His work, filled with softness and serenity, places him among several public and private collections around the world.J.M. Stringer is proud to represent this remarkable artist and to bring to its clients his wondrous paintings.
