Dan Mulligan has been drawing and painting for nearly 30 years and began his formal training at the age of 16. It was in the studio of Scottish artist Maurie Lewis in New Hyde Park, New York where Dan began the study of the academics of traditional fine art painting.
Dan paints what he enjoys, landscapes, wildlife, still life and historical scenes. He gathers inspiration from the natural beauty and inspirational landscape of the New Jersey countryside.
Along with his fine paintings, Dan is a nationally known muralist. His murals have been featured on the cover of House and Garden, Traditional Home and numerous other magazines. Dan readily admits that a lot of his talent is inherited from his mother, Audrey Mulligan, an accomplished artist, sculptor, and tile smith.
Dan’s work is included in many private and corporate collections in the United States, and his commissioned murals can be found in many businesses and private homes throughout Northern New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. |
